Today Water is a grossly mismanaged  resource in India. Traditional use of rain water and Flood water is declined and over exploitation of surface and ground water has become a key Source of water shortage. Existing Rain Water Harvesting technologies have not reached the farmers. Most are either donor-driven or Government-directed, making it impossible for farmers to take a change of the resources. The country has failed to recognize that water management must involve communities.

To improve the Economical Condition of farmers AYYAPPA MASAGI is helping them take charge of water resources. He ensures that farmers understand the catchments area analysis of rain water. He is Showing farmers how to ensure that all the rain that falls on there farms is collected at percolated into the Ground. 

Using existing Borewell he has found a way of percolating rain water into aquifers by a method that recharges not just one Borewell but also others in the radius of 50acres. He is designing and building Model structures with community participation, with local material    which can be easily managed by the local people to collect and conserve rainwater.

Armed with this experience MASAGI is campaigning to ensure that farmers become self sufficient in their water needs. The " JALA - SAKSHARATHA ANDOHLAN" or Water Literacy Campaign demonstrates the collection, use and conservation of water to farmers. To ensure optimum utilization of water is demonstrating low water input crops and promoting water conservation techniques such as irrigation. He helps farmers make cost benefit analyses of water-use. He urges them to budget their water needs, Enabling them to make informed decisions related to the crops they would wish to grow.

The AYYAPPA MASAGI challenged that he will fulfill the problem of water crisis with in 5 year with the help of the Peoples and Government. His aims is to remove the problem of WATER from our country and provide the needed water to the peoples.
